Sarawak Kolo Mee @ Tampines

Tampines round market is a familiar name to many, especially those residing in the east. As the name tells you, the market is round since decades back the unique structure has been an icon in Tampines.

Having roadshow at this place is always a pleasure, the influx of people from all over the place brought life to the marketplace.  Other than the fresh supply of poultry and vegetables, hawker food is another crowd puller.

Situated at 2nd row of the stalls, Sarawak Kolo Mee is a Q gatherer.  It is hard to missed when you stroll to the back.

The varieties of noodles makes you indecisive but their signature Kolo Mee is a must try. The noodles is mee kia scalded to perfection in boiling water and mixed with deep fried shallots with frangence oil coupled with pork lard. This mixture is well enough to get you to devour the noodles without adding extra sauces. Topped with fried wan ton, few slices of char sio, veg, braised pork ribs and wan tons, will fill your stomach to the brim. The thick braised sauce enhance the overall taste adding a smooth texture and saltiness to the whole combination.

Many more others choices which I will separately update my readers in due course.
